FOR TODAY … 24 November 2008

Outside My Window… very gray skies on the wake of a mild/moderate snowstorm yesterday.  We received about four inches and will probably see another two inches today.

I am thinking… that I have a lot do to today!

I am thankful for… the pleasant dinner with my parents and 91-year-old grandmother.  We’re a small family, but close.  🙂

From the kitchen… leftovers from the abovementioned dinner.  😉

I am wearing… a gray knit tunic with sequins, black slacks, black boots.

I am creating… still stitching on my sampler quilt.

I am going… to the store today as I have nothing here in the office for lunch.  😦  With the overnight snow, I wanted to leave the house early and get started on my commute, but forgot to pack food.  😉

I am reading… The Mother Tongue ~ English and How It Got That Way  (very interesting… and funny!)

I am hoping… that the roads are properly cleared from today’s snow before I have to commute home later.

I am hearing… guys talking several offices down, traffic outside.

Around the house… just a little laundry to do.

One of my favorite things… Sitting in my living room on snowy evenings with a warm beverage, having lit all two dozen candles or so LOL!

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week… taking my mother-in-law to the Detroit Institute of Arts on Friday.  I’m not proud of a lot in Detroit, but that is a world-class museum.  🙂

My Picture Thought … this was much what our world looked like this morning, except we have no sun LOL!  From Danish artist Anders Andersen-Lundby (1841-1923):

The Simple Woman is the original home of The Simple Woman’s Daybook.

The Simple Woman’s Daybook will take place each Monday.

Here’s how to take part:

1. Write up and publish your journal page using the questions/picture ideasI have listed below onto your blog. Be as descriptive as you can! This makes it more interesting to your readers. (You may cut and paste them for the purpose to participate in The Simple Woman’s Daybook.)

2. Copy the “permalink” from your “The Simple Woman’s Daybook” post, not the link to the front page of your blog. This will make it much easier for others to find instead of looking through the entire list of entries at your blog for your “daybook”. This will save time for all of us.

3. Come back here and add your permalink to Mister Linky.
