FOR TODAY … 9 December 2008 (I missed my Monday; was SO swamped yesterday and worked almost 11 hours.)
Outside My Window… only ugliness LOL! Snow melting under a driving rain and all is dingy and dark gray.
I am thinking… that I drank too much coffee this morning.
I am thankful for… lower gas prices!
From the kitchen… probably something carry-out. Tonight we study for hubby’s final exams tomorrow.
I am wearing… a dark plum velvet & lace shirt over a black tank, black slacks. And a necklace I made, lariat-style.
I am creating… nothing, with study-fever sweeping through the house. 😦
I am going… to call Grandma and see how she’s doing after her cataract surgery.
I am reading… The Mother Tongue ~ English and How It Got That Way (very interesting… and funny!) [Yes, I know this has been in this slot for some time; I’m too sleepy at night to get more than a few pages in, so it’s taking forever! I am usually a pretty fast reader.]
I am hoping… to have lunch or dinner with a very special friend from my childhood, when she comes to town later this month.
I am hearing… cars driving on very wet roads.
Around the house… just a little laundry to do.
One of my favorite things… organizing my planner (Filofax) for the coming new year. I am such a geek…
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week… helping hubby study, sewing, and getting to the beadstore for some supplies. 🙂
My Picture Thought … where I want to be right now (especially with my Shadow-girl back)
The Simple Woman is the original home of
The Simple Woman’s Daybook.
The Simple Woman’s Daybook will take place each Monday.
Here’s how to take part:
1. Write up and publish your journal page using the questions/picture ideasI have listed below onto your blog. Be as descriptive as you can! This makes it more interesting to your readers. (You may cut and paste them for the purpose to participate in The Simple Woman’s Daybook.)
2. Copy the “permalink” from your “The Simple Woman’s Daybook” post, not the link to the front page of your blog. This will make it much easier for others to find instead of looking through the entire list of entries at your blog for your “daybook”. This will save time for all of us.
3. Come back here and add your permalink to Mister Linky.
Took me a while to find the one kitty’s head (left one)…then I saw a mouth tucked in there. ROFL!
No crying for Shadow. 😦
Yeah, that’s the problem with Anabelle when she sleeps… trying to find which end is which LOL!
No tears for Shadow today. She was already sick by then, but I love how healthy her shiny coat still looked. 🙂
