FOR TODAY … 5 January 2009 (for shame, not being here for two weeks! I am a BAD blogger. 😦 )
Outside My Window… the setting sun, dead grass with patches of snow.
I am thinking… that I am hungry.
I am thankful for… my tidy office and getting 2009 off to an organized start (so far.)
From the kitchen… winter squash and parsnip bisque, whole grain bread, green salad.
I am wearing… sage green sweater, black tank, black slacks, beaded earrings.
I am creating… almost done with my sampler quilt. Pix to follow… eventually LOL!
I am going… to leave work as soon as I can. This first day back has felt rather long.
I am reading… going back to “The Gentle Art of Domesticity”.
I am hoping… that my parents and grandma are able to get to Florida and dodge part of this long Michigan winter.
I am hearing… traffic, and corporate company chatting somewhere.
Around the house… I just bought a new bathroom fixture set off of eBay. It was just what I was looking for, and $32 down from $80. Little by little, the World’s Ugliest Bathroom shall transform.
One of my favorite things… NyQuil D which helped my sniffles last night and gave me dreamy sleep. 🙂
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week… hubby’s first acupuncture appointment. I hope it helps his poor knees!
My Picture Thought … the sunset over the neighborhood behind our property, the night before a snowstorm some days back.
The Simple Woman’s Daybook will take place each Monday.
Here’s how to take part:
1. Write up and publish your journal page using the questions/picture ideasI have listed below onto your blog. Be as descriptive as you can! This makes it more interesting to your readers. (You may cut and paste them for the purpose to participate in The Simple Woman’s Daybook.)
2. Copy the “permalink” from your “The Simple Woman’s Daybook” post, not the link to the front page of your blog. This will make it much easier for others to find instead of looking through the entire list of entries at your blog for your “daybook”. This will save time for all of us.
3. Come back here and add your permalink to Mister Linky.
