FOR TODAY … 30 February 2009 (just kidding)

Outside My Window… ice from repeated snow squalls this morning.

I am thinking… that my whole family has deserted me for Florida.  Hubby is already there; parents and Grandma leave in the morning.  Here I sit… shivering…

I am thankful for… a productive, crafty day yesterday.

From the kitchen… still eating ham leftovers.  No hubby… no cooking!

I am wearing… denim shirt with leopard-print trim and beadwork, black slacks.

I am creating… attempted some crochet yesterday; will start quilting my sampler quilt tonight.

I am going… to be in bed earlier tonight than I was last night!  *yawning*

I am reading… Granny Quilts by Darlene Zimmerman, and back issues of “Mary Jane’s Farm” magazine.

I am hoping… that Grandma’s doctor was right in clearing her to travel, and that the Florida sun and fresh air does her a world of good.

I am hearing… my space heater.

Around the house… work around the house?  With hubby gone?  There’s nothing to do LOL!

One of my favorite things… a surprise phone call or e-mail from an old friend.

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week… all crafty stuff, and a possible trip up to my favorite bead shop in Frankenmuth, Bead Haven.

My Picture Thought … I don’t know why the quilt doesn’t look like it’s squarely in the frame in this picture; I swear that it is!  But here I will sit tonight:

The Simple Woman is the original home of The Simple Woman’s Daybook.

The Simple Woman’s Daybook will take place each Monday.

Here’s how to take part:

1. Write up and publish your journal page using the questions/picture ideasI have listed below onto your blog. Be as descriptive as you can! This makes it more interesting to your readers. (You may cut and paste them for the purpose to participate in The Simple Woman’s Daybook.)

2. Copy the “permalink” from your “The Simple Woman’s Daybook” post, not the link to the front page of your blog. This will make it much easier for others to find instead of looking through the entire list of entries at your blog for your “daybook”. This will save time for all of us.

3. Come back here and add your permalink to Mister Linky.
