FOR TODAY … 6 April, 2009

Outside My Window… Horizontal snow showers (April really is “the cruelest month”, and I should know.  ;-P )

I am thinking… that this should be the last bout of winter weather for the season.  We always get a good snowfall or ice storm as winter is peeled away, kicking and screaming.  If the pattern holds, this should be it!  🙂

I am thankful for… my family.

From the kitchen… BBQ’d cheeseburgers, Caesar salad tonight.

I am wearing… Dark blue batik shirt, black slacks, black boots.

I am creating… working a little on my Thimbleberries quilt.

I am going… hungry at the moment.  I hope I can scrounge something up around here.  I forgot my lunch, and it’s too yucky to go out. 😉

I am reading… Joie de Vivre by Robert Arbor

I am hoping… that those brave spring flowers just poking up last week survive this last blast.

I am hearing… cars outside, and quiet voices.

Around the house…  I must vacuum!  The dust bunnies are scaring the cats; it might be their fangs.

One of my favorite things… this shade of lipstick I just put on LOL!

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week… survival.  It’s going to be busy.

My Picture Thought … I picked up Macy eight years ago from the median wall on the expressway where she was stranded.  Whatever she’d been through up to that point has left its mark on her, but she is smart and loyal and I’m so glad we have her.  I just took this a week or two ago; she is about ten years old now.  Her fur is soft like a bunny rabbit’s.  🙂

The Simple Woman is the original home of The Simple Woman’s Daybook.

The Simple Woman’s Daybook will take place each Monday.

Here’s how to take part:

1. Write up and publish your journal page using the questions/picture ideasI have listed below onto your blog. Be as descriptive as you can! This makes it more interesting to your readers. (You may cut and paste them for the purpose to participate in The Simple Woman’s Daybook.)

2. Copy the “permalink” from your “The Simple Woman’s Daybook” post, not the link to the front page of your blog. This will make it much easier for others to find instead of looking through the entire list of entries at your blog for your “daybook”. This will save time for all of us.

3. Come back here and add your permalink to Mister Linky.
