FOR TODAY … 19 May, 2009
Outside My Window… sunshine, lots of green stuff
I am thinking… that I would pay big money right now for a dark room and a comfy bed. You know what… lights don’t even matter; all I need is a bed. *yawning*
I am thankful for… my Featherweight sewing machine, freshly oiled and cleaned and purring like a kitten!
From the kitchen… pasties.
I am wearing… cream knit hoodie, brown slacks, brown sandals
I am creating… need to make a bracelet with these gorgeous new beads I found!
I am going… to bed early tonight.
I am reading… new issue of Mary Jane’s Organic Farm
I am hoping… to get to my quilt shop tomorrow to pick up some goodies. I have a gift certificate! (Can you believe I haven’t done this since last week? What an ingrate, and after hubby went and bought it for me!)
I am hearing… men’s voices, just quietly
Around the house… need to schedule carpet cleaning for the blasted kitchen (who carpets a kitchen?? Can’t wait to rip that stuff out.)
One of my favorite things… waiting for packages to come, things I’ve ordered. 😀
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week… a project at work, preparing for a big audit in July
My Picture Thought … from the butterfly exhibit. You can only see one in this shot, and not very well (since he’s looking almost straight at me LOL), but it’s the dark blob on the fern. Nonetheless, I love the warm, jungly feel of this picture:
The Simple Woman is the original home of
The Simpl
e Woman’s Daybook.
The Simple Woman’s Daybook will take place each Monday.
Here’s how to take part:
1. Write up and publish your journal page using the questions/picture ideasI have listed below onto your blog. Be as descriptive as you can! This makes it more interesting to your readers. (You may cut and paste them for the purpose to participate in The Simple Woman’s Daybook.)
2. Copy the “permalink” from your “The Simple Woman’s Daybook” post, not the link to the front page of your blog. This will make it much easier for others to find instead of looking through the entire list of entries at your blog for your “daybook”. This will save time for all of us.
3. Come back here and add your permalink to Mister Linky.
I agree…carpeting in the kitchen?!
That picture does look pretty steamy.
