FOR TODAY … 23 July, 2009

Outside My Window… a hard, steady rain that’s making me sleepy as it hits my office window.

I am thinking… that naps on rainy days are wonderful things, but frowned upon at work.

I am thankful for… cooler temperatures, which means no A/C ,which means teeny utility bills.  😉

From the kitchen… something from our local gourmet shop; their parmesan encrusted chicken breast and stuffed baked potatoes are fabulous!  No time to cook tonight.

I am wearing… striped shirt over a teal knit top, brown slacks, sandals.

I am creating… back to Thimbleberries 2009 quilt piecing.  I’m stymied on 2008 until I can get to the quilt store and pick up my missing instructions for quilt top assembly.  😦

I am going… to work on my Denmark pictures this afternoon.

I am reading… the latest Smithsonian, courtesy of my daddy who gave me his extra subscription.  (Love the archeaology stuff!)

I am hoping… that my grandma gets a good report from the doc; she’s got some new problems.  😦

I am hearing… an awful lot of rain outside!

Around the house… a load or two of laundry, and must vacuum!

One of my favorite things… naps on rainy days.  😉

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week… looks like our kayaking trip to Lake Huron tomorrow is off on account of weather, so not sure.  But we’ll enjoy a fabulous concert at the Detroit Symphony Orchestra Saturday: 1812 Overture, complete with cannons and fireworks.  😀

My Picture Thought … I’m still on my Monet kick!  I just set this picture as my phone’s wallpaper yesterday, and it looks really bright and pretty.  From Monet’s garden at Vetheuil:
