FOR TODAY … 22 September, 2009.  I know it’s been a while; so much going on, and we were out of town nearly a week.

Outside My Window… construction, short-tempered motorists, partly sunny skies

I am thinking… that being caught up feels good.  😀

I am thankful for… my job and a little extra pocket change with which to buy fun stuff.

From the kitchen… tomato sandwiches on freshly baked bread… our favorite way to eat what’s bursting out of my garden LOL!

I am wearing… floral blouse, khakis, brown & silver sandals

I am creating… borders for my Thimbleberries 2008 quilt, and a shopping tote or two.

I am going… to go to bed early again tonight; trying to dodge this head cold!

I am reading… re-reading A Year in Provence because it’s so darned charming.

I am hoping… that my daddy and my grandma start feeling better soon!   They’re starting to talk hip replacement for her.  😦

I am hearing… the incessant beeping of construction equipment.

Around the house… a little laundry could be done.  😉

One of my favorite things… getting into soft, dry clothes after spending hours in the water (see picture below.)

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week… the Gypsy Faire in Almont and the Sheep & Wool Festival in Romeo, both on Saturday.  The second event in particular has great vendors, good food… and Angorra rabbits and goats and lambs for me to pet.  😀

My Picture Thought … when in Florida last week for Grandpa’s interment, we stayed at this hotel (love those off season rates!)  We spent many hours bobbing in the warm saltwater in Florida Bay, shown in the foreground, aka the Gulf Side.  (As a child of the Great Lakes, I forget how much more buoyant saltwater is than fresh LOL!)  The Atlantic stretches out in the background.  I just love the colors of the Florida Keys.  I think I bleed bluish-green LOL!
