FOR TODAY … 13 April 2010

Outside My Window… rain (supposed to gone by now) and grey skies.

I am thinking… that 4 hours of sleep is not enough for a 9-hour workday

I am thankful for… a bit of security

From the kitchen… going out tonight; probably Mexican

I am wearing… blue floral shirt with poet-y bell cuffs, black slacks

I am creating… a surprise.  Can’t say anymore yet.   It’s coming along though.   (I’ll be able to post a pic next week.)

I am going… to bed SO early tonight!

I am reading… still on a textile kick, but new book: Chintz:  Indian Textiles for the West by Rosemary Crill.  This is largely an overview of gorgeous fabrics at the Victoria and Albert Museum that fit this description.  The tradition of chintz-making in India is mostly lost but oh, what an art form.

I am hoping… that mom and Grandma have safe travels home on Thursday.

I am hearing… my computer’s fan; it is deathly quiet hereabouts.

Around the house… laundry is clean but needs folding.

One of my favorite things… good painkillers (sorry, I’m a bit achy today)

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week… going away overnight this weekend for our 16th wedding anniversary.
