FOR TODAY … 4 August, 2010

Outside My Window… Hazy and steamy, but green; enough rain as of late.

I am thinking… that summer is going so fast!  August already!

I am thankful for… this yummy blueberry tea I am sipping.

From the kitchen… on the grill, kielbasa and pierogis (done in a roaster pan with beer and onions); also grilling homegrown zucchini slices (gotta do something with ’em!)

I am wearing… white embellished shirt, black slacks and sandals.

I am creating… not so much, but a friend wants a certain kind of necklace made, so I need to get to the beadstore.  Oh, forgot… I’m finishing up sewing on another tote bag.

I am going… to the bank after work.

I am reading… re-reading actually.  I really like Rosamunde Pilcher, although her book Coming Home is easily my favorite:

I am hoping… that my tummy settles down soon.  I was NOT missing those ulcers, and here they are back again.  Ggrrr…

I am hearing… office HVAC and someone on the phone.

Around the house… where?  (Haven’t been home so much lately.)

One of my favorite things… saving up for goodies, and then finally getting them. 😀  Oh yes, Kindle… you shall be mine!

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week… spending some time at the pool with a girlfriend Friday.

My Picture Thought … it is a small and ordinary lake, but it can look amazing sometimes.  This is Summer, of course, taken last week.  In Autumn, those trees will all be aflame with color.  In winter, all one will see is black bare trees and snowy landscape with the lake likely iced over.  However, with the trees gone the view is expanded, with more of the rolling landscape visible. And in Spring, that lake will erupt with blooming water lilies.  🙂
