FOR TODAY … 28 September, 2010
Outside My Window… rain. And more rain.
I am thinking… that this would be an excellent day for a nap. However, my employer has not gotten around to arranging that sleeping room I keep asking about.
I am thankful for… fall colors, just now appearing.
From the kitchen… as I’m moving very slowly right now (rib injury) hubby is making dinner… homemade chicken tenders and cream of broccoli soup. Can you say comfort food??
I am wearing… black top and slacks and lace-up boots, covered up with a navy blue shawl/wrap thingie.
I am creating… still working on this quilt, but the end is in sight. 😉
I am going… to stop overdoing things so I can heal up.
I am reading… just finished The Story Girl by L.M. Montgomery. It’s been a long time. It’s not my favorite of her works… shorter, lacking some depth, but still charming and highly readable as a diversion.
I am hoping… that the weather cooperates this weekend for our trip. And that my friend’s wrecked car can either be perfectly fixed or happily replaced.
I am hearing… traffic on wet roads, office HVAC.
Around the house… need to have hubby vacuum. Vacuuming with out-of-place ribs… not a good idea. (If I didn’t hurt so badly, I’d really have more fun “milking” this – e.g., what else can I get him to do? LOL!)
One of my favorite things… the smell of bonfires on an autumn evening walk.
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week… taking hubby away to an unknown destination (unknown to him) for a couple of days.
My Picture Thought … it’s been a year since my last trip “home” up in northern Michigan. I was mistily reviewing those pictures and thought I’d share this one, taken from the shoreline in Charlevoix. Lake Michigan is beautiful when she’s angry. 😉
