…when a young woman’s *ahem* thoughts turn to visions of stitchin’.

Just sharing some recent purchases and current projects.  To start with, I’ve been drooling over Michelle’s quilted wallhanging in this first picture for many months.  I was so cheered everytime I looked at it!

Now don’t you feel better?  I always did.  I’d go to QuiltHome.com and browse them… these “Eden” fabrics from Lila Tueller.  But I didn’t want to be a terrible copycat.  Maybe something similar?  After some weeks of thought, I committed to Ms. Tueller’s “Santorini” line stead.  These were happily received last week:

Lovely, no?  They will make for a very pretty wallhanging in my office here at work.  But.. but… Eden!  Being a woman of stern discipline *choke*, I held off one more week, then placed the inevitable order.  In a few days, with free shipping I might add, these shall arrive:

😀

Also, I stopped by Michigan’s Sheep and Wool festival two weeks ago, and treated myself to the following.  It was pricey, but SO pretty with various fibers and thin gold silk ribbon wound in.  This is called “Key Largo”, which finished selling me on a skein.  Unfortunately (or not), it was the last booth I stopped at, so my cash reserves had dwindled, or heaven knows how much I might’ve bought!

And finally, a picture of the quilt top I’m quilting on right now.  I should be able to get the binding on later this week.  I’m still healing some injured ribs, so reaching and stretching are problematic and have slowed my sewing on larger things.  😦  Please excuse the Quilt Inspector who wandered into the frame:
