Or should I say, enough different KINDS of orange?  Inspired by Cluck Cluck Sew’s blog and this particular design,

my friend Michelle and I decided to bring a little warmth and cheer into our winter days with this bright quilt.  So I have happily been picking up oranges and orange mixes from different shops, trying to get a good assortment.  A subtle hint of aqua would make me happy too.  So here is what I have so far, and I am still debating…

I found this one Friday and liked it so well I didn’t even settle for a fat quarter or two but bought generous yardage:

And since I have oranges on the brain, my stepfather-in-law’s gift of freshly shipped Florida oranges was especially appreciated.  Thin-skinned and plump off the tree, they make amazing juice!  Like a glass of liquid sunshine last night…
