Atelier: an artist’s or designer’s studio or workroom
I live with my husband and six silly kitties in Michigan. I truly love it here… ocean-like quantities of fresh water for boating and swimming, beautiful beaches, gorgeous summer days and autumn color explosions. Winter, I could do without. We dislike it more by the year. I’ve lived here most of my life, except for a few years in the Florida Keys, where a good chunk of my heart still resides. We visit as often as possible (thank goodness I still have family in the area), and love the lifestyle, weather and especially snorkeling and diving.
When I’m not working or busy with my volunteer ministry, I love to quilt and sew little things. This is still new to me, and I’m finding my way, but I simply love pretty fabrics and embellishments and learn new things all the time. I’ve also recently become interested in beading and crocheting. Heaven help me if I find any more interests! LOL
Beyond that, I love to read, write, garden, travel, play the piano, and watch old movies with my hubby, and cuddle my cats. Or watch old movies with my cats, and cuddle my hubby. Whichever.
My goal with my blog is to share images and thoughts of meaning to me, and perhaps show some of my crafted or written projects. 🙂
NOTE: Graphic in my header is a collage designed by Lisbeth Dahl, Danish purveyor of all sorts of delicious items for home and wardrobe; sadly, hard to get in the US.
Love your site. Walking through this site and all it offers makes me want to be a cat. Just to sit, enjoy and linger.
I do not have a traditional website, but I love to decorate the one I have. I have only a few pictures of things I have made in my pic division of my web space.
thank you so much for sharing your talent.

Aw, thank you so much, Gloria! I’m tickled you enjoyed your visit. 🙂
Hi April :),
I found your blog by way of one Sleepy Cat Hollow. I live in Oxford as well. Nice to see another Oxfordite who is looking to blow the snow clouds away lol. Only difference, I don’t love it here and want to go back to my home state of Texas lol.
BTW, totally useless piece of info: My maiden name was “Fassett”, and I love the designs of Kaffe Fassett…go figure :).

Hi Penny!
Thanks for much for visiting! How fun about the Fassett connection LOL! 🙂
I sure don’t like Michigan winters, but for three seasons, I do love our natural beauty and all this fresh water and forest. We went to the beach twice last month, up at the tip of the Thumb. (Detroit I could take or leave, except for the DIA and DSO. 😉 )
Our friend at SCH sent me a link to your blog; off to visit! 🙂
Hej April
Hvor smart og jeg er bare totalt bagefter…..
Har ikke tjekket det hele endnu men du er bare genial og jeg er glad for at være i familie med dig!!!!
Lots of love
Hej Christina! Mange tak! I’m so glad you visited here, and am also happy that we are family. 🙂 Thank you also for your e-mail! I will respond shortly. Kaerelig hilsen…
Well, hello, friend! I didn’t know you had a blog! I love it! And your header pic is the yummiest I’ve seen! I love the passion you have in your life, your talents and the world around you. I look forward to peeking in regularly.
DeeDee, thank you so much! I have visited your blog just once (love the name!), and will try to do so more frequently.
Have a terrific day! ;D
Hey!
Love your blog. Also thank you for the german shepherd video. Very cute and one even looks like Niko! Can’t wait to see ya.
Love,
Amber and Niko
Hi sweetie! Glad you liked the video – wasn’t it fun LOL? See you soon! xoxo
I saw your tag line on a Sapphire Yahoo site & decided to click on it. Love your quilts! I’ve been quilting for almost 4 years. I quickly became addicted! I just bought a Sapphire 835…love it!
Thanks so much, Debbie! I have obviously been on extended break, but I have tons to share and will start posting shortly! (Nothing like a new fabric purchase to jump start the process LOL!) Have a lovely day. 🙂
