Catching Up… The Terrain in Spain

While I have been derelict in my blogging and not terribly productive on the creative side either, I have been working on a few things.  Currently on my sewing table is a quilt created from Kate Spain’s fabric line “Terrain”:



…married to this great pattern from Cluck Cluck Sew:


I assure you I was not attempting to be clever in using Ms. Spain’s fabrics in a quilt called Seville; however there was something about these fabrics showcased in blocks like this pattern that made me think of the tile work seen throughout the Iberian Peninsula, and I thought the combination would work well.  :)

Also seen below is my new sewing machine, the Husqvarna Viking Sapphire 875Q.  I have had it for less than a year, and am really pleased. More on that later.

For now, I’m still cutting and piecing, cutting and piecing.
