If you follow hockey, or even just got into these Stanley Cup Finals because you heard a marathon, nailbiter of a game was on NBC Monday night, hopefully you can appreciate what the Red Wings have accomplished under the guidance of Mike Babcock (who moved his lines around like a chess master) and the unfailing poise and talent and leadership of Nicklas Lidstrom. Huge kudos as well to the chronically underappreciated but truly Cup-deserving Chris Osgood, and of course all the players who showed what real teamwork, physical sacrifice and lots of heart can accomplish.
It wasn’t easy, it sure wasn’t pretty, but it doesn’t matter now. Stanley is home. 🙂
Mitch Albom’s article: “Wings Paint Hockeytown Red”
He is so right; “all’s well that ends red.” 😉
YEAH WINGS!!!
