FOR TODAY … 19 September, 2011

Outside My Window…  low 60s, VERY RAINY, just heard thunder

I am thinking… that fewer things are more depressing than a dark, wet Monday as summer goes away

I am thankful for… my new Nook.  Just love this puppy.

From the kitchen… stuffed pablano peppers, with spicy ground beef and two kinds of cheese.  Have also been preserving quite a bit of homegrown tomatoes, jalapenos and green beans.

I am wearing… striped jersey cardigan, brown tank top, light brown khakis.

I am creating… working on my orange and white quilt, and just starting my third block for the Farmers Wife project.  Also thinking of dragging out 2009 Thimbleberries, the club quilt, to get that finished and on my bed.  My pretty Ralph Lauren duvet cover, bought on eBay years ago on huge clearance, is on its last threads.  😦

I am going… to make myself to go bed early tonight.  I keep staying up too late on Sunday nights!

I am reading… just finished Little Women as the first read on my new Nook.  I find the classics from my childhood very cozy right now.  🙂

I am hoping… that my parents get through the next four weeks as easily as possible.  Tis a tall order to pack up a largish house and get its contents moved 1200 miles away in such a short time frame.

I am hearing… the copier, rain on the windows.

Around the house… laundry.  I guess.  Meh.

One of my favorite things… waiting for pretty new fabrics.  A bit of this is en route to me right now!  The PERFECT antidote to a looming winter.

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week… harvesting more garden goodies, maybe making more salsa, Tigers game Saturday night, Sheep and Wool Festival Sunday.  😀  I get to pet alpacas!
