Festivals and such continued…

An exhibit of Comfort Quilts for children... great cause and lovely work!

Display in another building, featuring Cristina's Quilt Shop (great store in Rochester, MI!)

On to the Sheep and Wool Festival.  Unfortunately, my camera battery died at the quilt show, so these are all cellphone pix:

Admission stamp (I wasn't planning on having to leave and come back, but the stamp is so darned cute - I always ask for it

Always admire this roof before I head down a short of flight of stairs to the bulk of the stands. Lovely, rolling property...

Hard to see, but there's an adorable sheep motif up near the peak

This vendor is selling beeswax candles in a myriad in shapes and forms

My favorite yarn vendor each year... a very talented spinner.

Food tent selling various lamb, lamb sausage and vegetarian dishes with a Mediterranean flair. Yummy!

But in spite of all the other attractions, I REALLY come to see these guys...

The lovely Paloma with her gorgeous markings around the eyes, like Egyptian kohl. She was a love.

What I bought today... quilting calendar, bear made from alpaca and softer than a fluffy kitten's tail, notecards, dyed alpaca yarn, embroidery quick reference card, and two Lucite buttons that reminded me of seashells from an extremely well-stocked vintage button vendor

And what lovely late summer day would be complete without an evening at the ballpark??

They lost by one run, but it was a great game anyway!
