Wow, is it dusty in here! Poor deserted, desolate blog.
I do have a backlog of things to share, travel and crafty-wise, both. But I am breaking my unintentional silence because I am so inspired by the 2014 Olympics in Sochi.
You might well ask, Is April contemplating taking up figure skating? Snowboarding? Skeleton?? Heavens, no.
I’m inspired to make a quilt based on the Sochi graphics, this lovely motif on many competitors’ suits, and the backdrop of a few venues.
Thinking batiks, maybe some Asian fabrics, tone-on-tone.
I am inspired… to visit my local quilt shop. 🙂
I was watching the speed skating and thought of the same thing! That would make a great quilt! 🙂
Now…start writing the rest of those blog posts!
What a terrific idea. I love the colors and patterns. Can hardly wait to see which scheme you settle on. In view of it being the WINTER Olympics, would could colors like blues be appropriate?
That is of cool colors
Apparenhtly the 3 c’s, (of) course cool colors were too much after a whole afternoon of listening to Albanian speak.
LOL! Probably not all blues… maybe more of a rainbow like they’re arranged in the picture. More color… always more color. 😉
I think you would make a beautiful figure skater!
Peggy, I can’t believe you said that with a straight face. ;-p
